Soll Overview

Söll’s part of the 288km SkiWelt area which is one of the biggest linked areas in Austria. The slopes are spread across several peaks and valleys, so you can visit other resorts in the area like Scheffau and Ellmau.

Söll is a small traditional village with lots of small family run guesthouses as well as some fantastic 4 star hotels with wellness facilities. For those who are self catering you will find plenty of supermarkets in the village as well as some lovely cafe's and restaurants in the small but picturesque center.

The slopes are mostly north facing which means the snow lasts longer and the village is located in the SkiWelt giving you access to 288km of pistes.

Après ski is lively in Soll with some great spots to visit including some with live music and the party goes on until the early hours of the morning. Soll is a very price friendly resort that has a great mix of families and younger people - See video at the bottom of this page

Things to do in Soll

Activities - Söll offers a varied winter experience set against the impressive backdrop of the Wilder Kaiser and Hohe Salve. Skiers and snowboarders can access the extensive SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser–Brixental area, while the Hohe Salve provides spectacular panoramic views across the surrounding Alps. Away from the pistes, visitors can explore snow-covered landscapes on winter hiking and snowshoeing trails, go tobogganing on the illuminated runs, or enjoy the winter attractions around Hochsöll. Söll is particularly well known for its night skiing, with around 10 kilometres of floodlit slopes allowing visitors to ski after sunset. Families can also discover the winter wonderland around Hexenwasser, while more relaxed activities include horse-drawn carriage rides, curling and enjoying the village's traditional Tyrolean atmosphere. With skiing, outdoor adventures and plenty of ways to experience the mountains without skis, Söll offers a well-rounded winter holiday.

Restaurants - Söll has a welcoming dining scene that combines traditional Tyrolean cooking with international flavours and relaxed Alpine restaurants. Visitors can enjoy regional favourites such as schnitzel, Käsespätzle, dumplings and Kaiserschmarrn, while the village also offers pizza, steaks and other international dishes. Examples include Auf da Mühle, known for steak, pizza and international dishes, and Restaurant & Bar Schulhaus, which offers a broader international-style menu. For Italian food, Pizzeria Restaurant Chiaro di Luna is another option. Visitors looking for a more traditional mountain experience can dine at Hotel Restaurant Hexenalm Söll or Berggasthof Hochlechen Söll am Wilden Kaiser. The surrounding SkiWelt area also has numerous mountain huts and restaurants where guests can enjoy hearty Tyrolean dishes alongside panoramic winter scenery.

Nightlife - Söll has a lively but relatively intimate après-ski and nightlife scene, with much of the action centred around the valley station and the village itself. After a day on the slopes, venues such as Hexenzeit and Hexenbar offer a classic Alpine après-ski atmosphere, with drinks, music and plenty of opportunity to socialise. The Moonlightbar Söll is another well-known après-ski venue at the end of the valley runs, with DJs and live music forming part of its winter programme. Later in the evening, the atmosphere moves towards the village centre. The Mill - Irish Pub & WhiskyMühle is associated with late-night drinks, dancing and entertainment, while s'Austria Söll provides a more relaxed bar setting. Söll also hosts live music and seasonal events during winter, giving visitors plenty of options for an evening out without the atmosphere becoming as large-scale as in some of Austria's major party resorts.
